Travelling here brings you into the authentic heart of Africa. Away from the crowded tourist trail, the colours, sounds and vibrant energy of Tanzanian culture are all around you – and the dramatic setting of our lodge embraces the very best of this rugged landscape.
Treading lightly on the natural world has been our priority, using local craftsmen to build beautiful, sustainable chalets that nestle among giant boulders and native woodland teaming with wild monkeys. We even have our own tree nursery, growing thousands of saplings from wild seed to ensure the continuity of this environment with which we’ve been entrusted.
Yoga practices will feature soul-stirring views of the Great Ruaha River Valley from our hilltop yoga deck. Above the trees and encircling a vast natural boulder, this location will awaken all your senses and promises panoramic sunrises and sunsets across the mountain landscape.
Unwind after yoga sessions in our wood-fired saunas and refreshing natural waterfall showers. Immersed in native woodland gardens, the Lodge is a tranquil escape, spotted with hammocks and fire pits for relaxing and enjoying the evening stars.
The retreat is brought to life by our family of warm, friendly, and dedicated staff. Your hosts are all fluent in English and committed to delivering you an exceptional, bespoke experience from the moment you land in Tanzania.
Our beautiful chalets are crafted using sustainably-sourced local eucalyptus and offer comfortable, flexible rooms that inspire connection with the wild and serene environment.
Come together in the communal dining area to enjoy nourishing cuisine prepared lovingly by our retreat chef, Diana. Then enjoy the evening with our range of wines and local cocktails on sofas beside a roaring log fire in the cosy lounge bar.
Although we’re in a safe and welcoming community, our four-acre grounds are fully enclosed and protected around the clock by our friendly Masai security guards for added peace of mind and privacy that lets you truly relax.
Our individual chalets can be configured as large doubles or twins, all with private en-suite bathrooms. Single occupancy is available for a supplement.
Our huge retreat rooms sleep four people, to create a more sociable retreat experience while retaining a truly premium feel. The large bathrooms include separate shower room and toilet for added privacy and convenience.
